We are producing a Bible-Integrated textbook series in the Thai language, covering Social Studies, Thai Language Arts, and English.  Science is up next! These books will be available for use throughout the country  for use in schools throughout Southeast Asia.  We are also publishing Bible-themed children‘s stories in the Thai language, which are available online and in bookstores.

At the School of Promise we follow the curriculum standards of the Thai government and focus on educating Thai children. As we have begun teaching our students, we have found special difficulty in teaching the required social studies class, which focuses primarily on Thai culture and society. The textbooks available for teaching this class have the underlying message, “To be Thai is to be Buddhist.” Seeking to follow the Lord’s direction, we have begun writing a new textbook series for teaching social studies from a Biblical perspective.

We have now found ourselves in the very unique and exciting position of creating material that shares God's truth and love with students from a perspective that is uniquely Thai and very relevant to the environment in which they live. Simultaneously, this new material will serve as the backbone of the school’s curriculum. It will allow us to tie all subjects together with Biblical themes that will run throughout the school day, increasing students’ ability to understand and apply all subjects learned.

We are also in contact with leaders at a number of other Thai Christian schools, who are interested in this new approach and textbook series. Creating these textbooks is a monumental task, impossible for a small, new school. Yet, with God, all things are possible. Please join us in praying that He will bring this task to completion and will use the new texts to reveal Himself to students throughout Thailand.
